Refreshments For Summer
It’s almost summer and the days are getting warmer. The cooler breeze of spring is slowly drifting away and Mr. Sun is taking over. Before we know it, we’re on our way to the beach hitting the sun and sand on high noon. When we talk about warm weather, sweat, sun, and sun block; refreshing, staying hydrated, or eating something cold enters our mind to ward off that hot feeling.
There are several food and drinks that enters our mind when we hear the word summer. We’ve eaten or drank these before in a plain and boring way. Here, I will be showcasing some creative and fun ways of enjoying your favorite summer food and drink in a more cost effective way. Here it goes:
Ice cream is the number one food we think of when summer arrives. There is a lot of ice cream bar who offers sumptuous scoops at minimal satisfaction. We can enjoy our Ben and Jerry’s better by incorporating fresh fruits, whip cream and flavored coffee syrups in it. For the kids and kids at heart, we can top it with colorful sprinkles to make it more appealing.
Fruit shake comes next on our list. There are a lot of scrumptious fruits available during summers that are totally mouth-watering and hard to resists. Apart from eating fruits raw, you can make a smoothy out of it. You can mix different kinds, go use your creativity and don’t be afraid to experiment in mixing those fruities. You could add up skimmed milk for fuller taste and a healthier concoction.
Ice cold tea is the easiest and fastest refreshment you could grab. You could squeeze in some lemon or lime on it for a more flavorful iced tea. Or, if you are brewing tea leaves, you could add up some coffee syrups that comes in various flavors to add a little kick to your brew.
Yes, cold coffee is included in the list. If you’re a coffee junkie and couldn’t live a day without caffeine, then this one is for you. You can have your coffee iced or in a smoothy form with whip cream on top. You don’t have to go to a coffee shop to grab a frappuccino because you made your own. Just add some sugar free coffee syrups or any coffee syrups with fuller taste then voila!
Who says that water is plain and boring? Then, go find some mint, cucumber, or lemon in the market and add it to your water. Now, drinking water can be fun and exciting with these added flavors. Just don’t forget to drop some ice cubes to ease the warm feelings and be more refreshed.
